On June 25th, Professor Xu Bin from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Northumbria in the UK was invited to give an academic lecture on "Sensing Structures and Devices Based on Table/Interface Engineering" in our research group. Professor Xu Bin shared in the report interesting interface works such as the ultra-high contrast topological optical sensing developed by the research group, as well as the high sensitivity underwater sensor with anti swelling and dehydration properties, as well as the universal conformal thin film technology achieved through surface wetting enhanced interface self-assembly. Teacher Xu also shared the stories behind research work, encouraging students on the front line of scientific research to maintain curiosity and conduct extensive literature reading, so as to accurately extract the key issues of their research.
Finally, Professor Xu had in-depth discussions and exchanges with on-site teachers and classmates on key issues such as sensing structures and devices, chemical reactions and interfaces, as well as the prospects for future research.
